Another example of this is Sherway Gardens, an upscale mall located west of downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  The new tensile roofing system will replace the facility's existing fabric roof, installed in 1989. The fabric roof was the first of its kind over a retail building in Canada and earned a Canadian Consulting Engineering award for its design.
"It is gratifying to see the number of replacement projects. It shows an acceptance of membrane technology and bears out the life of 20 to 25 years for such a system," said Marcel Dery, Market Manager - Architectural.
