Canada Place, located on Vancouver Harbor, will get a new SHEERFILL® skin this year. Built in 1983 - 84 for the Expo '86 World Fair, it is the signature structure of Vancouver and serves as an arrival point for cruise ships. The replacement material includes approximately 14,000m2 of SHEERFILL® II Architectural Membrane with the EverClean Photocatalytic Top Coat and approximately 11,000m2 of FABRASORB® I Acoustical Membrane for treatment of the inside of the structure.
This is the second major structure in Vancouver receiving a new SHEERFILL roof. BC Place, site of the 2010 Winter Olympic opening and closing ceremonies, is currently receiving a new roof configuration. It is gratifying to see these two structures replace their aging roofs with new SHEERFILL Architectural Membrane. This will insure their futures for another 25+ years.
SHEERFILL and FABRASORB are manufactured at the Merrimack, NH facility.
